For the last three decades the Arts Night auction and dinner has been a major showcase for regional artists, as well as an evening of entertainment. The event, scheduled for Friday, May 7, 2010, is a major fundraiser for the Washington Pavilion's Visual Arts Center.

•  Arts Night Preview Exhibition March 5, 2010 – May 5, 2010. Galleries B & C. An exhibition showcasing the donated works of art for the general public to enjoy. Viewers can select a "People's Choice" award, and enter proxy bids for any works they're interested in purchasing.  Proxy bids for artworks in the live auction can be submitted at the Visual Arts Center reception desk, by contacting Twyla Ward at 605-367-7397 x 2341 or emailing tward@washingtonpavilion.org. This event is sponsored by Phil  & Martha Helland.
•  Arts Night Silent Auction, this year is a silent auction of original artwork. Exhibition runs March 5 through May 5, 2010, with final bidding to take place during Arts Night on May 7, 2010. The Silent Auction gallery is adjoining the main gallery and bids on artworks can be submitted at the Visual Arts Center reception desk.
•  Artists Awards Reception, Friday, April 23, 2010, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Awards for People’s Choice, Artist’s Choice and Juror's Choice will be presented.
•  Arts Night 2010, Friday, May 7, 5:30 p.m. social, 7 p.m. dinner, 8 p.m. auction.  Join us for an elegant dinner followed by the art auction—all taking place on the stage of the Washington Pavilion's Great Hall. Tickets are $100 per person (tax included). Tables of 10 are available. Please purchase tickets at the Washington Pavilion's Box Office starting February 6 at 9:30 a.m.

 
The annual Arts Night auction is the second-largest annual fundraising event for the Visual Arts Center. Proceeds from the event are used entirely to support the center's exhibitions and programming.

Tickets go on sale February 6 at 9:30 a.m. and can be purchased at  the Washington Pavilion Box Office (605-367-6000).
